[00:00:00] Ken: Marissa, good news and bad news. Which one do you want me to go with first?
[00:00:05] Marissa: Let’s go with bad news first.
[00:00:07] Ken: Bad news. Most people who’ve had New Year’s resolutions, they have not completed them, they have failed completely, and they are on to better and worse things actually for their life. They have justified and made excuses now.
[00:00:23] This has happened probably like a couple weeks ago, but it’s official. It’s February. People are not completing the resolutions.
[00:00:30] Marissa: It’s really true. I know a lot of people actually who’ve already abandoned it and thrown their hands up. Okay. What’s the good news though?
[00:00:36] Ken: The good news is there’s still a way to complete your goals for 2025.
[00:00:42] It’s only been a month, right? Yeah. The thing is you need the secret sauce, the secret weapon. I could call it the secret something, the ingredient that you need to actually be successful in your goals. And that’s what we’re going to talk about today.
[00:00:54] Marissa: Yes, it’s going to be such a good episode. I can’t wait to dive into this because it’s something that we don’t talk about [00:01:00] actually that often on our podcast.
[00:01:02] So I feel like it’s a little bit of a special episode today.
[00:01:05] Ken: I was going to be like, dun, dun, dun, but that’s horror. So we need more exciting.
[00:01:09] Marissa: We don’t want that. We want, you know, fun music to go off of.
[00:01:13] Ken: Enter fun music now.
[00:01:20] Welcome to another episode of Focus on This, the most productive podcast on the internet. So you can banish distractions, get the right stuff done and finally start loving Mondays. I’m Ken Freire and I’m here with the rockin co host, Marissa Hyatt. Happy Monday.
[00:01:38] Marissa: Oh my gosh. It is a good Monday today. I feel like I am so jazzed.
[00:01:45] I’m excited about what we’re talking about today. And like we said kind of in the intro, if you’re somebody who you’re looking at your calendar going, it’s the middle of February and I’ve totally abandoned all of my goals, don’t worry. [00:02:00] We’re here for you. We got you today.
[00:02:02] Ken: Yes. Confession. I had a goal at the beginning of the year that I wanted to do.
[00:02:06] And one of our coaching clients reminded me of it on our client call. And it was my, my pushup one. And I totally forgot because I got sick. And then my kids got sick and then I got sick again.
[00:02:18] Marissa: Are you going to restart it?
[00:02:19] Ken: I am planning on restarting it, but I almost abandoned it because it was just like, Oh, you know what?
[00:02:23] January’s over. Forget it. I’m not going to do it. But we actually have a whole nother 10, 11 months that we could still complete our goals.
[00:02:30] Marissa: I feel like so often we have this all or nothing mentality and we get right out of the gate strong. We’re excited. We’re like all in. And then life happens, you get sick or something comes in and kind of derails your progress.
[00:02:45] And then it’s like, yeah, I’m not going to do it. So we just throw it out. And it’s like, wait, wait, wait, wait. We actually have still the majority of the year left. We’ve barely even scratched the surface of 2025. It’s easy to think that if you didn’t start out [00:03:00] strong, that you should just throw it all away.
[00:03:02] But no, you have like so much time left on the clock. And we have such great information today to really help you. Guarantee your success for the rest of the year. Like whatever happened in the last month and a half that didn’t work doesn’t have to be true for you moving forward.
[00:03:18] Ken: A big reason why sometimes it doesn’t work is quite frankly we haven’t connected a lot of our goals to a bigger why.
[00:03:25] Yeah.
[00:03:26] Ken: It’s kind of like we think we should do this or we want to do it but there’s no actual reason for us doing this goal. It just feels like a, another thing that we want to check off. So today’s goal in this conversation that we’re going to have, and that’s why Marissa and I are super excited is giving you that bigger why, the four big actions you need to take to guarantee your success for 2025.
[00:03:49] Marissa: Yeah. Because if your goals are just something that you feel like is just another item. On your to do list, it’s something that you should be doing. The likelihood of you actually staying through [00:04:00] that, especially during what we call the messy middle, which is that period of time where you’re in the middle of accomplishing a goal, it gets really challenging.
[00:04:09] You’re kind of like too far in to feel like you fully want to quit, but you also don’t feel like you have what it takes to finish. You know, you’re kind of like, I don’t really know if I have it in me. What we’re talking about today of connecting your goals to this bigger picture is really the secret sauce that’s going to help you stay the course and actually finish strong on accomplishing your goals.
[00:04:29] So, Ken, do you want to take us in to the first action?
[00:04:32] Ken: Yes. So the first action you need to take to make sure that you are crystal clear on the larger picture that you want and what you want in order to accomplish your goals is that you need to get a sense.
[00:04:45] Marissa: Okay. Are we talking about like Mission Impossible mission or what are we talking about when we’re saying mission?
[00:04:51] Ken: 100%. Tom Cruise is ending his, his franchise. So someone has to pick it up. Right? No, no. What we’re talking about mission is like, why are you here [00:05:00] on this earth? What is it that you are trying to accomplish with the time that you have left? And lots of times. People are like, Oh my gosh, that’s so deep. I don’t know what it is.
[00:05:10] Many times there’s these passions, there’s these desires, there’s these needs that we see in our world that we want to help accomplish or fulfill. And that’s the stuff that we gotta plug into and say, if I could live the rest of my life accomplishing this one thing, what would it be?
[00:05:28] Marissa: It’s ultimately like, what is your greatest contribution?
[00:05:31] What are you uniquely designed to do? And this can feel like really daunting to try to figure out. You can feel kind of like, why am I here? Like these big daunting questions. And I think there’s a couple of things that can give you clues. What do you feel like when you’re doing lights you up? Like, you just feel, it feels effortless, it feels totally in alignment with yourself, and where you feel [00:06:00] passionate, where you feel good at this, like, you feel like, God, like, I’m moving and grooving on this.
[00:06:04] Like, this is totally what I am supposed to be doing. And you often feel like, if I could just do more of this, I would feel more fulfilled.
[00:06:13] Ken: Yeah.
[00:06:14] Marissa: I think a lot of us don’t think about this. We don’t actually sit down and ask ourselves those big life questions of what am I here to do? You know, what is uniquely mine that only I can contribute to the world?
[00:06:28] That’s my personal mission.
[00:06:30] Ken: Yeah. Another question that I like to ask is like, what do you want to be known for? You know, like when you think about contribution is like, Oh, do you want to be known as a stay at home mom? Do you want to be known as like, you created this amazing legacy or this empire? Like, what do you want to be known for?
[00:06:45] And sometimes people are like, I really want to be known for X or Y. And that’s part of your mission. Your mission should excite you. It should feel a little overwhelming because you, you might see the gap, but that’s okay. We’ll talk about the gap here in a little bit, but you should be really [00:07:00] excited.
[00:07:00] Cause you’re like, Imagine if you could fulfill this mission. What would happen to your life and your person and your people around you, it will bring energy. The spark would kind of come alive in you. That’s what you’re, what we’re looking for. When we talk about you having a clear mission so that all the goals you create in the next few years that you’re alive, they’re tied back to that mission.
[00:07:21] Marissa: Totally. We want to help you actually live into this, and therefore, it’s often that this mission is going to be aspirational. So it doesn’t have to be true today, but it can be something that you’re working towards. So I think that’s important to mention here, that this may not be true in this moment, but you want to work towards this, or you feel like this is really what you’ve been designed and created to contribute in the world, and you’re going to move towards that mission.
[00:07:45] Okay, so that’s the first action is get a sense of your mission, your personal mission. Ultimately, like, why are you here now? Number two is to identify your personal values. And I love this one because these are kind of like the [00:08:00] things that help direct. Your day to day living. These are the things that often end up directing the decisions that you make and help you get clear on whether you should say yes to something or no to something.
[00:08:11] This is how you decide how you spend your days, your time, and your energy is usually with your personal values. So, Can I, I’m going to put you on the spot.
[00:08:22] Ken: Ooh, I love it.
[00:08:23] Marissa: I’m going to give you a second to think about this, but I’d love to hear, like, what is one of your values that people may not know about you?
[00:08:33] Something
[00:08:33] Marissa: that’s different that maybe like a face value, they wouldn’t be like, Oh yeah. Like I would know that probably I’m going to guess something related to your faith is one of your top. And I would guess that your family is somewhere on there too. But what are maybe one or, you know, more that’s outside of those.
[00:08:50] Thanks.
[00:08:50] Ken: That’s it. That’s all I have. No, one of them is actually stewardship. So I believe that I want to be faithful in whatever I’m doing, [00:09:00] that I’m faithful in the small things. I’ll be faithful in the big things, but I really want to steward people’s calling and purpose. Right now it starts with my, obviously my family, right?
[00:09:08] But like with Any people, even on this podcast, like I get so excited when I get on calls with people and they start telling me what they want to do in life. And I’m like, Oh my gosh, I now have a glimpse on who they are and like, how do I help them maximize that? I love that. Like it’s the way I operate all the time.
[00:09:23] I was actually hanging out with friends and I just started asking guys some questions. Like, what does he want in life? And like, I just started going into coaching, put my coaching hat on by accident. Like halfway through. I’m like, dude, I’m sorry. He’s like, no, no, no, no one ever asked me these questions.
[00:09:36] I’m like, Oh, okay, cool. You know, and I just kept going cause that’s just my natural MO. It’s part of my value. Like I want to see the potential in people all the time.
[00:09:46] Marissa: It’s so good. Well, I think these are such key tools to have because like I said, they really help. Determine our direction. We’re going to be able to say yes to something confidently when it aligns with our personal values.[00:10:00]
[00:10:00] And when something goes against those personal values or is in conflict with them, it’s going to be really easy for us to say no to that. So as you’re thinking about your personal values, think about. When you look at your life, like what are the things that tend to direct your path? Or are there themes that tend to be true in your life that you tend to be drawn to or you tend to make decisions out of?
[00:10:23] And we really want you to identify five to seven personal values. You could probably come up with a ton, but we want to keep it small so that these are easy to remember. The point of having your mission and your values is not that they’re so long and so big that you’re going to think about them one time and never think about them again.
[00:10:41] We really want you thinking about these and coming back to them day after day after day, because like we said, this is kind of like the compass that helps direct your path. So think about five to seven of your personal values. So for instance, like I have vitality is one of my personal values. It’s really [00:11:00] important to me to be as vital as possible.
[00:11:04] That looks like a lot of different things, primarily related to my health. But that’s something when I’m making decisions or when I’m thinking about the habits I want to create or the activities I want to engage in, if vitality is part of that, then I want to make sure I’m living in alignment with that value.
[00:11:21] Similarly, I have another one that is related to community. That’s a really important value of mine is my community. And having a tight knit community. And so I want to invest in those relationships or move forward into activities that help me expand that community or deepen that community and those relationships.
[00:11:40] So first of all, get a sense of your mission. Secondly, identify your personal values. And then Ken, what’s our third one?
[00:11:47] Ken: The third one is imagine your future 10 years out. Your mission is about what do you want, your personal values on who you want to be. Now what you want to do is craft, take some agency [00:12:00] over your life and say, what do I actually want 10 years from now?
[00:12:03] And what would that look like? A great exercise may be like, if 10 years from now, if it’s your birthday, what would you want? Right. Like, what would you want to say? Like, you know, for me, it’d be 47 at the time of this recording. Wow. That sounds so old.
[00:12:17] Marissa: I know, but it does kind of give you a reality check a little bit.
[00:12:21] And everyone who’s listening, just stop for a second. How old are you going to be in 10 years? Get that number in your mind. And it might scare you or you might, I mean, depending on how old you are, you might go, I’m not even going to live that long or I’ll probably be in really bad health or what? No, no, no.
[00:12:36] Like, what do you want to be true? On that birthday. What do you want on your 47th birthday? In my case, my 44th birthday, you don’t got
[00:12:45] Ken: to repeat it like that. Like you’re like 47
[00:12:48] Marissa: clear that I was younger, you know, no, but to say, what do I want to be true in my life? And think about all areas of your life.
[00:12:58] You know, we talk a lot on [00:13:00] focus on this, about our nine life domains, So I’m gonna rattle those off for you in case you don’t know those, but these are the areas of your life you should be considering when you’re thinking about this future 10 years out from today. Think about What do you want to be true for your body?
[00:13:17] Or said another way, for your health. What do you want to be true for your mind? Like your intellect, your memory, your knowledge, right? What about your spirit? What do you want to be true ten years from now about your spirit? Okay, this is where I love these ones. What about your love? Whether you’re in a romantic relationship or not, assuming that you want one, what do you want to be true?
[00:13:41] So if you’re married, what kind of a marriage do you want to have in 10 years? Forget what it looks like today, but what do you want it to be like in 10 years? Or if you’re single, what kind of a relationship do you want to be in in 10 years? You know, what does that look like to you? What about your family?
[00:13:59] And if you have [00:14:00] kids, how old are they gonna be in 10 years? This is like a big reality moment.
[00:14:05] Ken: It’s huge for me when I start to think about that.
[00:14:08] Marissa: So what do you want to be true for them? What do you want your relationships with those kids to be like? What about your parents? Or if you have close siblings or any other kind of family unit that you’re close with, what do you want those relationships to look like?
[00:14:22] What about your community? You know, the people that you’re interacting with, your friends, your co workers, your spiritual community, what do you want that, maybe your neighborhood community, what do you want that to look like in 10 years? And then lastly, what do you want your money to look like 10 years from now?
[00:14:38] That was a long time. You know, frankly, like how rich do you want to be? And I don’t mean just by a dollar amount, but what kind of wealth do you want in your life? Like really ask that question. 10 years is a long time to make significant change financially. What about your work? You know, what kind of position do you want to be in?
[00:14:57] Do you want to be owning your own business? [00:15:00] What kind of career path, what kind of clients do you want? What kind of milestones do you want to have hit in 10 years kind of salary do you want? And then lastly, hobbies. So Ken at 47, What kind of hobbies do you want to have?
[00:15:14] Ken: You’re just, just jabbing that dagger.
[00:15:15] Marissa: Just jabbing it a little
[00:15:17] Ken: bit. You know what’s funny is that people are listening to him and they’re like, 47, he’s such a baby.
[00:15:21] Marissa: Totally. Everybody always says that, you know. I don’t know who you are. So think about all of those areas of your life and really asking, you know, like we said, going 10 years into the future and asking yourself, what do you want to be true?
[00:15:33] So whatever that birthday is for you, whatever that, That is in years in your life, what do you want to be through in your life? And I think people tend, there’s some quote, and I don’t know who said this, but there’s some kind of a quote that says people overestimate what they can do in a year and underestimate what they can do.
[00:15:53] Ken: In 10 years,
[00:15:54] Marissa: in 10 years. And so it’s difficult for us to think this far out and [00:16:00] really expand our thinking. So I want to challenge you if you’re thinking about this as I talked through those different, you know, nine life domains, push yourself on your thinking. Like what is possible? You know, maybe when we were talking about money and I said like, how rich do you want to be?
[00:16:13] You’re like, I don’t think I want to be that rich. Well, like that’s 10 years. Think about where you were 10 years ago. In your financial journey, if you’re anything like me, I mean, frankly, I was 24 at the time you were a baby. Yeah, I was a baby and I was broke. I didn’t know what I was doing. I was trying to figure things out and I certainly wasn’t making the same amount of money that I make today.
[00:16:36] And if somebody had told me 10 years ago, here’s where you’re going to be in 10 years, I probably wouldn’t have believed them. And maybe there’s some mixed emotions about that. Maybe you’re like, well, I’m not as far as I thought I would be. Well, the beauty is with this exercise, you get to design what the next 10 years look like.
[00:16:52] Whatever happened in the last 10 years doesn’t have to be true in the next 10.
[00:16:56] Ken: Yeah. For some of you, I know that when you start to think about 10 years out, [00:17:00] you don’t even like to think about a year out because you’re like, life is going to happen. There’s going to be so many things that happen. So many curve balls.
[00:17:05] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You’re right. Those curveballs are going to happen. But if you just sit there and just drift, you’re never going to go somewhere. But if you’re at least intentional, you might hit five out of the 10 goals that you want. Imagine five out of the 10 that you do hit, like big audacious goals.
[00:17:21] That’s a huge difference.
[00:17:22] Marissa: And you think about, it would be really, really rare, maybe Never that you would plan a significant trip in your life and then not plan your travel to get there I don’t really know any circumstance in which that would be true where you’re like, okay I’m going to this country and this is what I think our trips gonna look like and it’s gonna be phenomenal Oh, but I’ll just Get there.
[00:17:50] Ken: You’ll figure it out somehow. You’ll just.
[00:17:52] Marissa: It’s like, no, you’re going to go and you’re going to look at all the different plane options and, or if drive, you know, if you’re somewhere going somewhere close, like what are the different [00:18:00] car routes that you would take? And, and you’re going to analyze that and figure out the best route for you to take.
[00:18:05] And then guess what? You buy the tickets or you get in the car and, and you go, you start making movement towards the destination you’re trying to arrive at. But somehow we think in our own lives. We have this vision for where we want to go in our lives. We think, oh, I want to be in this type of a relationship or have this many kids or be this successful or, you know, this wealthy, have these hobbies, be in this level of health and like, oh yeah, I’ll just get there.
[00:18:33] No, like you have to set the path. You have to create the directions of how to get there and how you do that. is in the next step, which is to set smarter goals based on your bigger picture. So this is where we really get to connect where you’re going with how you get there.[00:19:00]
[00:19:04] Ken: Smarter goals. This isn’t aspirational. Okay. And this is really important. It’s not aspirational. It’s not like what I think I’m going to do. These are really actionable steps that you are going to take. If you haven’t heard of the acronym SMART before, this is an expanded version. All right. And what we believe is a better version, right?
[00:19:22] Real quickly. I’ll go through it smarter, right? S is for specific, M is for measurable, A is for actionable, R, this is where things start to shift. Okay. If you’re used to the smart framework, R is for risky. It has to push you a little bit. It’s got to be a little bit out of your discomfort zone, not your delusional zone, right?
[00:19:40] But a little bit out of your discomfort zone. T is for time bound. So you gotta have a date of when you’re trying to accomplish it. E is for exciting. Guys, your goal should be exciting to you. It should be empowering you. When you look at it, you’re like, yeah, that’s what I want. Right? It shouldn’t be something that you feel like you have to and you [00:20:00] can’t do it.
[00:20:00] And I know for some of you, you’re like, well, sometimes. My boss gives me these goals or sometimes other people impose them. We get it. We’ve talked about that in previous episodes on the Smarter Goals framework. You guys could check that out, but I encourage you, it should be exciting. And then the last one, it should be relevant to this season of life that you’re in.
[00:20:18] Right? Sometimes you create a goal and you’re like, I want to do this thing, but it has nothing to do with where you’re at right now. I think I’ve talked about this goal on this podcast before, but at some point I want to get a PhD right now that is like not relevant to anything that I’m doing for either the company or for my personal life.
[00:20:34] Like it’s nowhere near the radar. So my wife is like, you better not be looking at another college website right now. And for all those college admissions, people who are listening to it. This right now. No, I will not accept your scholarship unless it’s a full ride. Then we could talk.
[00:20:51] Marissa: Yeah. Well, I think this is really where it all comes together.
[00:20:54] So we talked about at the beginning of the episode, you may be, you know, far down [00:21:00] the path, so to speak, or you think you feel that way in terms of what you can accomplish in 2025. And you’ve probably lost steam and maybe one of your goals or all of your goals. And this is where it changes is when you’re connecting those goals to the bigger picture of where you want to go.
[00:21:17] You can think of these as like the mile markers on your way to that destination for thinking about what are the things this year I can do that are in alignment with that 10 year vision of where I want to go. You know, what is something I can do now to make progress? So if you know, there’s certain habits that you want to.
[00:21:35] Develop, then can you start developing those habits? Now, maybe you’re somebody who wants to be bilingual in 10 years. Well, maybe you need to go ahead and sign up for a language course or class to start learning that language. Now, you know, maybe you want to start building your wealth. And so you want to start either getting out of debt so you can start building or you want to start investing so that compounds over time.
[00:21:59] You’re [00:22:00] thinking about the now, but with the longterm view of the future. I feel like this is where, to me, this gets so exciting for the people that we work with and the listeners on this podcast. If you are just going day to day thinking about your goals, feeling like you should be doing them. But you don’t really know why, you don’t really know where those are taking you.
[00:22:24] They’re just kind of these random set of things that you thought were a good idea. The likelihood, again, of you sticking through those when it gets challenging, it’s pretty slim to none. But when it all of a sudden is about becoming and living in to who you know you’re designed to be, that’s when it gets really powerful.
[00:22:42] Ken: Yeah. Let me give a great example, I think, on my own life. If most of you have been listening to the podcast for a few years now. You’ve been hearing about my health journey here and there, right? Like I’m trying to lose weight. I’m not eating sugar. Now I’m not doing dairy, right? I’m like, I got an exercise goal and people might be like, Oh, Ken just [00:23:00] wants to get healthy, but like, for me, it’s not about just health.
[00:23:03] It’s like, I want to be able to pick up my kids when I play with them. I want to be able to run with them. 10 years from now, my daughter will be 17 and my son will be 16. Like. Think about all the energy they’re gonna have and all the things I want to do with them and travel and stuff like that. I can’t do that if I am not in shape.
[00:23:22] I’m motivated all the time when I want to look at a salted caramel cheesecake or salted caramel smoothie and I’m like I should take a bite of this or someone brings into the office sourdough bread with cream cheese. I’m not naming anyone. It was
[00:23:40] Marissa: me earlier this
[00:23:41] Ken: week. But I’m like, you know, I’m like, I’m going to say no to that because I know what I want more than just that temporary thing.
[00:23:49] Yeah. And it fuels me to keep going. One pro tip that I just want to share with people because they might be like, Oh, I love this. I know I need to be thinking about my mission and my personal, you know, my [00:24:00] values and my tenure plan, but how should I do this? A couple real practical tips. Tip number one. Put it in front of your planner.
[00:24:06] If you’re using the planner, put it in front of it and look at it every day. If you’re using the wellness planner, it’s a great place. We’ve put a, the front sheet, you could put your values in your mission statement. Fantastic thing. It’s changed the game for me. And then the second thing is do life focus.
[00:24:22] It is one of our newest products, Marissa. I’d love for you to talk about life focus and how that unpacks, but like, it is one of our best retreats. It’s one of our best courses. I believe that you can be doing to, so that you can focus on these four things.
[00:24:36] Marissa: Yeah, well, Life Focus is really our, you can think of it like your personal GPS system for where you want to head in your life.
[00:24:45] This is a process that we take you through if you join us at the Life Focus retreat, which we do have coming up in May. We have our early bird special going on right now where you get several hundred dollars off your ticket. It’s the cheapest it’s going to be. And when you join [00:25:00] us for that retreat, we’re going to walk you through over a two day period, creating your personal mission, setting your personal values, and then designing the next 10 years of your life.
[00:25:13] So rather than just attending a conference where it’s You know, rah rah and fun or energizing and motivating and then you leave and then you completely forget about everything that you did, you know, a month down the road. This retreat is really designed to get you into action at the retreat and then create a plan for you.
[00:25:31] Post retreat. So what we do is throughout these two days, we’re gonna walk you through each of these steps. So by the end, you’ll have your full life plan for the next decade of your life. If you’re married, I highly encourage you to do this with your spouse because it’s a really really powerful process to go through together.
[00:25:48] We’ve had a ton of couples do this and it’s so just powerful, but then even better than just having that, that plan is we’re going to help you identify your [00:26:00] milestones. So we’re going to identify your one year milestones. So those smarter goals that we talked about, what are you going to focus on right now in the next year, the next 12 months to make progress on that 10 year vision that you have?
[00:26:12] What are the three year milestones? And then what are the five year milestones? And on top of all of that, what are some of the habits that you’re going to create to be the person that you want to be in 10 years? Like I said, it is such a beautiful experience. This is really like a retreat. Now it’s all online.
[00:26:31] It’s a live streaming experience, so you don’t have to worry about traveling anywhere or really taking time off of work. You may have to take off off of one day, but we do it on a Friday and a Saturday, so you don’t have to take off two full days, which is great. It is super interactive where you’re going to be doing exercises and really doing some deep thinking.
[00:26:50] We walk you through visualization exercise to help you start envisioning what you want and what’s possible for you. And this is led and taught by my dad, [00:27:00] Michael Hyatt, who is our founder here at full focus and really comes out of his entire life story. And how he wound up here founding Full Focus, which is he really had a challenge of in his marriage where he was overworking, over indexed on that part of his life and wasn’t paying attention to his most important relationships and his health.
[00:27:24] And it wasn’t until he created a life plan with a coach of his that everything changed for him. And so we want that. For you as well. And you can do that at the life focus retreat. So it’s led by him and my sister, Megan Hyatt Miller, who is our full focus CEO. And it is just a blast of a two days. It is super interactive.
[00:27:44] We’ve had hundreds of people go through this experience with us within the last year. And this is our first one this year. We’re so excited. You can learn more at fullfocus. co so co slash retreat to learn more about the retreat [00:28:00] that’s coming up and to get that early bird discount that I talked about.
[00:28:03] Yeah. I
[00:28:03] Marissa: do want to share one thing, Ken, that I think is really a game changer that we’re offering right now with this, which is. Anybody who’s listening, who gets their life focus ticket this week before, uh, I think it’s before Friday. This is really exciting. Y’all are going to get to get hands on coaching with me and Ken for the next six months.
[00:28:26] So when you have gone, like I talked about, this isn’t just a normal conference where you come and you. You know, get all motivated for two days and then you forget about it a month later. No, a month later, you’re going to have a call with us. And we’re going to talk about for six months in a row, how to actually execute and implement what you’ve learned, because there’s nothing worse than investing in something like this.
[00:28:50] And then doing nothing with it. We’re not here to just like pump you up and get you excited. We truly want to help you transform your [00:29:00] future. And part of how we do that is through this hands on coaching for six months. So these are some of our most favorite parts of our month where we get to be on these calls with you guys.
[00:29:10] We hear about your real, um, life struggles, your challenges that are getting in the way of accomplishing your vision for your future and will help you clear the path to be able to accomplish that future.
[00:29:23] Ken: I’d encourage all of you do it. It’s literally one of my favorite products that we have here. I told Michael when we first created it.
[00:29:32] I’m so jealous that this wasn’t invented 15 years ago when I started teaching on life planning, because it is an absolute game changer. And for those of you who I know are high achievers, you’re like trying to crush your goals, you’re trying to do things, but you’re wondering all the time, like, why is it that I just Never seem to hit it on the nail.
[00:29:50] Why is it that you can’t be consistent? Why is it that you just all of a sudden give up? Many times it’s because you don’t have the secret sauce. And that’s your life plan. [00:30:00] And when you have a life plan connected to these goals, radically changes the game. And that’s not fluff, it genuinely is the motivator for every single day for you to get up and say, I’m going to do the hard thing that needs to get done because I know why I’m doing this.
[00:30:14] It’s for today, it’s for next year, and it’s for 10 years from now.
[00:30:18] Marissa: So again, if you want to take advantage of that early bird pricing and join us. in May for our Life Focus Retreat, go to fullfocus. co slash retreat, and hopefully we’ll see you then.
[00:30:34] Ken: Thanks for joining us on Focus on This.
[00:30:37] Marissa: This is the most productive podcast on the internet. So please go ahead, share it with your friends. And if you would just take a quick minute and go to whatever podcast app you’re listening on and leave a review. It means so so much to us. It helps us reach more people just like you who are chasing big goals.
[00:30:56] Ken: We’ll be here next week with another great episode.
[00:30:59] Marissa: [00:31:00] So until then, stay focused.
